Auto Repair in Swarthmore, PA
The borough of Swarthmore is located in Delaware County, PA, just to the northwest of Ridley Township. It covers a mere 1.4 square miles of land, housing a population of roughly 6,300 people.
Swarthmore was originally part of Springfield Township and named “Westdale” in honor of early resident Benjamin West. The name was changed after Swarthmore College was founded in 1864. The area soon grew as a commuter suburb of Philadelphia, and the borough was incorporated in 1893. Today, two historic attractions in Swarthmore are the Ogden House and the Benjamin West Birthplace, both on the National Register of Historic Places. Crum Creek and Crum Woods on the west end of Swarthmore offer plenty of outdoor space to enjoy nature.
